Gen 23

Abraham

"When Sarah was 127 years old she died in Hebron in the land of Canaan; there Abraham mourned and wept for her.  Then, standing beside her body, he said to the men of Heth: "Here I am a visitor in a foreign land, with no place to bury my wife.  Please sell me a piece of ground for this purpose."
Gen 23:1-4
Today it crossed my mind about a loved one of mine who also died.  I was unable to be at his burial because God has called me to leave before the time of burial.  That was hard for me, but i do not regret it. Over and over again Abraham's life has not been "easy".

He was given this great promise, but God didn't say along the way would be a slip and slide. Abraham has to burry his wife is a strange land.  Thats a big deal for the israelites.

Where along the way of life did we decide that life was suppose to be easy, and God was suppose to hand everything over to us in a platter?

i know ive had my masive struggle with the quest for the goodness of God.  but i am just amazed that i could question that of God.

He is so good. and H never promised it to be easy.  But oh he promises so many things.
