Lies found while tempting eve, that he still uses on us today:

1- Satan is really good about getting us on technicalities, getting us to think about God’s exact words instead of the point behind it. Such as sexual purity verse what line is too far? “did God REALLY say that,” getting people to think twice and question what God REALLY said.

4- “belitteling sin” Satan also made eve think that consequences weren’t really THAT bad. “you will not surely die, you will just know more” EX: Oh so many times I think the consenquences of sin won’t be THAT bad, deff not dealth.

3 Eve added to God’s command. This demonstrates that the serpents subtle challenge of God’s word was working its poison.

5 Satan was tring to alienate Eve with God, making God look like the bad guy “For God knows that when you eat it you will have wisdom and be just like him”

6 Trust - not trusting that God provides all that we need “when eve say that the fruit was good to eat…desireable for gaining wisdom she took it” eve believed that God was not would not provide for her, that he has not given her all the wisdom and good enough fruit by trusting and obeying him. Ex: Trusting that God will protect me, so going to other things to protect me at night.

6 “when the women saw that the fruit was pleasing to the eye” Satan distracts us with beauty. I can only imagine how beautiful the garden of eden was. Created by God’s hands, not yet tainted by human sin. Not yet polluted. All animals lived in unity. Can you even imagine such beauty? But yet that was not enough to keep her from being tempted and tatalised by the beauty of the forbidden.

What to do? Eve talked back,

What does knowing good and evil mean? Did adam and eve only know how to do good before that? Was the only sin they were able to commit, eating the fruit?

That’s awwwsome…only knowing how to love, sacrifice…pretty coool….

21 - God clothed them- even after they sinned, instead of leaving them in the shame of their nakedness, God clothed them, he provided for them, was gracious and loving.

22- I love the name eve, what does it mean?

16- Your desire will be for your husband. Stereotypically when boys get together they talk about cars, work, drills, rough “manly” stuff. And stereotypically when females get together we talk about boys, HOW LAME….
