"God didn't forget about Noah and all the animals in the boat." Genesis 8:1
Backstory: God asked Noah to build a boat, even though it never rained. Noah trusted Him and did it. God asked Noah to keep building it even when Noah got made fun of. Noah trusted Him and did it. God asked Noah to gather all the animals and fill the boat. Noah trusted and did it. God asked Noah to leave everything he knew and sit on a boat with alot of animls and his family. Noah trusted and did it. One hundres and forty nine days later, Noah was still on the boat.
I bet somewhere between day one and day one hundred and forty nine Noah started to wonder if God had forgotten about Him. Forgotten that GOD had called him onto that boat and into the middle of nowehere in the middle of a rain storm.
Just like Noah, I know sometimes i wonder if God has forgotten about me. I don't think its an accident that the writer of Genesis wrote verse one of chapter eight. At times we all need that reminder that God has not forgotten about us.
Where are you today, that you could apply that truth? I personally am really struggling with a few realities of my life right now. Is this really where God is calling me? To the middle of an ocean? If only i knew on day 150 that God would set me on solid ground, then i could float in a sea for the other 149. Even though i have no idea what tomorrow holds, or what next month hold, luckily God does, and he has asked me to do this, so like Noah i will trust God and do it. And remember, "God didn't forget about Noah and all the animals in the boat (and he hasnt forgotten about me or you in our boats)"
trusting in truth one day at a time,
